Chromium plating is available for a wide assortment of tools or industrial equipment. Dense chromium plating on your tooling aids in lubricity and will help to extend the life of your tools or equipment. Dense chromium plating is electroplated on to the surface and therefore is very precise and provides complete coverage.

Chromium plating is not only for exterior surfaces either. We can generally cover inside spaces or select areas of your item to be plated by masking off areas not to be covered. As you can see our chromium plating process is very versatile.

Some other notes on chromium plating. Chromium plating can be applied in thickness' of 0.000020" to 0.00020" depending on the application. Although chromium plating is extremely hard, it will adhere under standard bend tests, withstand the forces developed during cold extrusion and forming, and allow repeated flexing without chipping, flaking, cracking, peeling, or separating. Chromium plating will not take the place of heat treating, however, chromium plating can be applied to surfaces of tools or equipment that have been heat treated. Chromium plating works on all ferrous metals (all alloys) and many nonferrous metals.
